Dear Community,
I have only a few logistical things to share and then I'll let you get on with the business of enjoying your Super Bowl weekend. Today is the last day of the second grading quarter and thus the midpoint of the school year. Teachers will post the quarter grades in the Student Information System on or February 6th. If you have an account, you may login to see them on that date. If you don't have an account, follow this link to see how to get one.
While I am new to BHS, I can say that, at most schools, the midpoint of the school year is the among the most critical - particularly for students who have not performed well during the first two quarters. We are mindful of this situation and will be working with those in need to right the ship, so to speak. We want to be partners in this endeavor. Please don't hesitate to contact your student's guidance counselor for more information or support. We will definitely be in touch.
In addition to intervening on behalf of students who need additional support, we intend to celebrate the accomplishments and improvement of our young scholars at the grade level assemblies the week of the February 10th. Some lucky student who has perfect attendance for the first half of the year will be taking home a brand new Nook!
Lastly, the job shadow went off without a hitch this morning. I got a chance to say a few words to 85 students headed out for job shadow this morning. They looked sharp! I'm sure they learned a ton and represented well. In all, a very good experience.
Have a great weekend!
Best,
Dr. T
