Happy Friday!

Dear Community,

Seems like only a short time ago when I welcomed the everyone back from the winter vacation... School year goes by quickly.  Officially, "welcome back"!

We had a busy week and there are busy weeks to come.   Today alone, we have classes visiting the JFK library and a special presentation of Shakespeare's Hamlet for the senior class and those taking the theater course this year.  Speaking of theater, we are partnering with a community partner to provide students an opportunity to participate in a theater performance at this spring.  The first meeting of the newly created drama club happened on Wednesday.  Interested students should see Ms. Dooling.

This week, the boys and girls basketball teams competed in tournament play.  The boys team will play again tonight in Salem (thus the phone call about the fan bus last night).  A huge "congratulations" to the girls team for another successful season. Basketball is not the only thing happening tonight.  There will be a dance hosted by the senior class from 4-9pm at Brighton High.  Students must present their ID to gain entrance.  Should be a great time for a great cause!

Lastly, next week we have MCAS restests for students who  did not pass the MCAS last year. Attendance next week is critical.  If you have not already, will receive a reminder phone call.  We want success this time around.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Best,
Pat

P.S.  The next Open House is March 20th.  Don't miss this opportunity to connect with teachers about your student for the second half of the school year.
