Summer Vacation is Near!

Dear Community,

Summer vacation is near!  We're not quite there yet.  We have still a serious academic exercise right around the corner.  Final exams begin next Wednesday!  As I make my way around the building, I see students preparing diligently.  This is great!  They should take advantage of the weekend and next Tuesday (no school - Bunker Hill Day) to iron out any academic wrinkles.  As I say often, this is their time to strut their academic stuff!

As we approach the summer, I am pleased to announce that more than 185 have students will be engaged in internships over the summer, many of which are paid.  I credit the students for presenting themselves well on paper and during interviews.  I also credit Dan Cuddy, our PIC coordinator, who works tirelessly to build relationships with job/internship providers and prepare students for these real world experiences.  It's no wonder that he received an Unsung Hero award at an Allston/Brighton ceremony lats week.

As we prepare to dismiss students for the summer months, I want to remind you that there are a number of programs available to you and your student.  Follow this link for more.  Of particular importance is reading during the summer.  Follow this link for a suggested reading list.

Lastly, students completed a school climate survey last week.  They were given a paper copy of the parent survey with a return envelope to bring home.  In the event that it didn't make it home, follow this link to complete one.  We value your feedback!

Happy Father's Day to my fellow dads in the audience!

Best,
Dr. T
